20.02.12 The New Legislative Assembly Building, Sarawak

Sarawak has probably the oldest legislative assembly in South East Asia – it was first formed in 1867 at the time of the White Rajahs. The new Assembly Building is located on the Northern bank of the Sarawak River in the centre of Kuching and was opened in 2009 to great acclaim.

Consulting Engineer Kamal Fozdar, who was involved in the design and construction of the building witll discuss the background to the building, the design and the construction.
