Protection for Langley Park

Langley Park has been ‘interimly’ (is that a word?) listed on the State Heritage Register. The 11.7 ha grassland area was created by land reclamation from the river between 1921 and 1935.

“Langley Park has considerable historic value for its social, cultural and recreational uses and is very worthy of heritage listing. The park contributes significantly to the Perth community’s sense of place.” Heritage Minister John Castrilli said.

So…I guess no development along there then…
