Architect Philip Stejskal talks about his Bellevue Terrace project.
A diminutive project measuring 15 square metres that seeks to improve the relationship between an existing 1890′s duplex and its backyard. The response is a series of loosely defined spaces that transition from inside to outside. Walls pivot and slide open, providing playful glimpses to the world outside and ventilation during Perth’s hot summer months.
Bellevue Terrace received a Small Project Architecture Award at the recent AIA (WA) Awards.
